Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is finally here, offering the same gritty, survival-focused gameplay that fans adore - but with its fair share of bugs and performance issues. Weβve curated a guide to the best mods available at launch to enhance your journey in the Exclusion Zone. From practical upgrades like Ledge Grabbing for smoother navigation and No Weapon Durability Loss to balance-breaking yet useful tweaks like Reduced Repair Costs and No Weight for Ammo, these mods can make surviving the Zone more enjoyable. Whether you want longer sprints, less bullet-spongy mutants, or a quicker game startup, thereβs a mod for you. Dive into our recommendations to customize and improve your Stalker 2 experience!
A creative modder known as thegreatgramcracker has reimagined Demon's Souls as if it were a PlayStation 1 title. Inspired by early FromSoftware classics like Shadow Tower and King's Field, the mod transforms the game's visuals with pixelated textures, a PSX dither filter, custom low-poly models, and retro-styled loading screens. Impressively, these changes were manually crafted or applied using unique pixelization techniques. While the graphics dive into nostalgia, the gameplay remains untouched, ensuring compatibility with online play. You can download this awesome mod HERE!
A new mod, HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition, by modder Halk Hogan elevates The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to new visual heights. This meticulously crafted mod updates thousands of in-game assets to 4K resolution, from textures on walls and statues to the tiniest details like food items, all with minimal performance impact. Fans have praised the modβs quality, with many returning to Geralt's world nearly a decade after its 2015 release. The mod is available on Nexus Mods and continues the tradition of fan-driven enhancements for CD Projekt Redβs iconic RPG. Meanwhile, anticipation builds for The Witcher 4, rumored for a 2025 release.
Baldurβs Gate 3 has become a modding phenomenon in just three months with over 3,000 mods and a staggering 70 million downloads. Players have pushed creativity to its limits, from game-altering innovations to quirky spells like transforming enemies into cheese - a favorite of developer Larian Studios.
With the release of official mod tools in September, the game's modding community grew, leading to massive updates like Patch 7, which introduced full modding support across all platforms and a Steam-integrated modding toolkit. Larian promises even more functionality to empower players to craft their own stories.
Saber Interactive, the developer of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, has announced a major policy shift regarding mods. Starting with the gameβs December update, mods will be blocked from public servers due to server instability and player save file issues. Mods will still be permitted in private and custom lobbies, ensuring that the creative modding community can thrive in controlled environments.
In a big win for modders, Saber has also committed to releasing official modding tools, streamlining the creation process, and eliminating the need for reverse engineering. Community members, like popular modder Tom of Warhammer Workshop, hailed the decision as a βnew golden age of moddingβ. We canβt wait for the December update!
Soon, we will also have an update for you regarding our ReadyM service. Our tool will soon be integrated into a game that is competing for the Game of the Year title at this year's The Game Awards! Stay tuned and follow our social media channels to learn more!
More about ReadyM:
ReadyM is designed to democratize the creation of custom multiplayer game modes, offering tools similar to what FiveM did for Grand Theft Auto V and what community servers brought to Minecraft - but with ReadyM, these capabilities can be applied to any game. Whether a game was originally single-player or multiplayer, ReadyM enables players to create, host, and join custom servers that offer unique gameplay experiences.
